The world is in mayhem as the incurable COVID-19 virus, better known as “Coronavirus”, keeps the country indoors. Schools are closed indefinitely and parents are running out of wine.
Here is a list ideas that you can try to keep your little ones occupied:
Play dress-up
Dig-up those old halloween costumes and let your little one be their favorite super hero or princess for the day.
Build a fort
Nothings cooler than building an indoor fort! Go drape some extra sheets over some chairs or you can use boxes.

Cook/Bake
Let your little one help out with the meals today. Make pizza, cupcakes or even cookies.

Shadow puppets
Take some paper and draw out some of your child’s favorite characters and cut them out.
1. Find a dark space (ie. closet)
2. Get a flashlight or use the light on your phone to cast shadows on the walls
3. Use the cutout characters to put on a shadow puppet show

Play-doh/Slime
Old faithful. I don’t think kids ever get tired of playing with the two. There’s so many different things you can do with them. Try making your own!

Painting
Grab some paint and canvases and let their imagination go wild or give them a theme. (Paint what they think the coronavirus looks like)

Youtube!
Youtube has sing-a-longs, dance-a-longs, family workouts and other interactive videos to keep you and your little ones active even indoors.

Here’s some favorite of ours:
Bear Hunt
iSpy
Open a window and pick a color. Then, have your kids name everything they see that’s the color you chose.
Or, as the classic game goes, pick a specific item by using the phrase “I spy with my little eye something [color]” and have them guess what you picked.

Swimming Tub
We can’t go to the beach, but who said we can’t bring the beach to us?! Throw on their swim trunk or bathing suit and let them go swimming in the bathtub with some of their favorite toys.

Video call
Thank God for technology! It makes it super easy to keep in touch, especially in times like this. Video calling friends and family is a great way to connect while practicing social distancing.

Treasure Hunt
Hide some items around the house and let your little pirates go find them. Arrgggh!

Obstacle Course
Use items from around the house and set up an indoor obstacle course!

ABC Mouse
Worried about too much screen time? Download some educational games so they’re learning and playing at the same time.
